Troubled Mind

It looks as though I might have a little problem. I don't know for sure, it could be big too. I got very vague information so I wouldn't know what to think. I'm just expecting the worst.

All my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay,
Oh, I believe in yesterday. "

Golden Train by Justin Nozuka

His voice is really amazing, and he writes such beautiful songs.

Just Turned 23

Idleness gets me daydreaming,
I think of life, of work, I think of you,
Of many days spent figuring out what to do.
When I've hurt, got hurt, but stood my ground.

Saying goes, "Everybody's unique so we're all the same."
Though I'd say, no one else has my will power.
I'm scared, but I don't show it,
Got hurt and moved on. That's the way it is.

So far so good now, when time has healed us.
I have forgiven, yet I find, forgetting is not easy.
Just really glad there's so much more to life,
Coz joy and inspiration never stop coming.

My dilemma is to go or not to go.
I DID want to, now I don't know.
Wants have changed, forgotten love has surfaced.
I wanna do something else, if I may.

I'm young and nothing's too late,
Except being fifty, and not quite happy.
I'm blessed, still blessed.
Thank You for having my back, all the way.

Writing feels good, so good
I almost forgot what it's like
Translating emotions into words.
Glad I haven't lost my touch!

Good Day

I did what I did with the thought of just getting by through this day. God really has His own plans, and I was surprised. At myself even. Well, all's well that ends well. To God be the glory!

Elle vs Vogue, etc.

I actually like Elle better than Vogue. And that's strange considering the fact that Vogue is number one. But for me, Vogue is just about fashion, no substance, no style. You can't even read between the lines to find what you're looking for. Sure, they have everyday updates about the fashion world, but there's more to it than that. Online readers, like me, need to see the creativity and dedication of the editors. I can't pinpoint exactly what I don't like about Vogue, it's just that Elle works better for me. They even have a blogroll. So cyber!

I've been pretty busy lately, literally. I'm back to being a nurse and my second day at work, I was assigned on night duty. I used to dislike noc duty a lot, but when you come to think of it, it's actually the best shift. No doctor's orders to carry out, not too many people up and about. It's just peaceful, and you get to do your work without interruption. At least in my ward. I know it could be different somewhere else. But hey, so far so good for me.

Ich vermisse blogging über ihn. Lol!

I got a little interested in learning German recently because I've noticed it's very similar to English, structure-wise, so I just thought maybe it's easier to learn. And of course a little influence from you know what.

I've come to realize that I'm not happy with my work. I mean, nursing is a learned skill and I know I have props in my field, but it's just different from who I am. My friend sujin told me most people feel this way about their work, but I don't know.

I'm more of an arts person. I even thought I might take up design classes. I don't really regret taking up nursing because it has taught me a lot and made me really smart (just saying) but it's time I indulge myself a little. I mean, I will be a nurse forever, status-wise and no one can take that away from me, unless my license gets revoked, but there's just so much more to life.

Introducing Me

Performed by Nick Jonas in the movie Camp Rock 2. I didn't quite like the movie. There's too much of Demi going on.

But I like this part.

King of Anything

A song by Sara Bareilles. It's nice how she bluntly speaks her mind in her songs. Great songwriting!

This advocates me in a way. Listen!

Ghost Town

One of my favorite movies. I discovered Ricky Gervais's genius in this film actually, and I've liked him eversince. It's about a dentist who can see ghosts after a near-death experience. But it's a love story mostly. Endearing and very sentimental, suits me perfectly. Plus, the soundtrack is amazing. I've mentioned this fact in my earlier posts and you can check out what I mean there.

62nd Primetime Emmy Awards

I haven't seen the whole program yet, but I'm going to watch the replay for sure.

Anyways, here are two of my favorite prods. First is the opening number, with an all-star cast of comedians and singers. Jimmy Fallon is very funny!

Second is Jewel's song. A tribute to actors and actresses who passed away in the last year. A very emotional performance.

First Comes Love

A book by Marion Winik.

It's a real life love story of Marion Winik and her late husband, Tony Winik nee Heubach (Tony followed after Marion's last name when they got married).

It all started when they met in New Orleans, and Marion falling in love at first sight with Tony. Nothing deterred her then, not even Tony's being gay. First comes love, then marriage, then Tony's diagnosis of AIDS, having children, Tony's drug addiction, Marion's infidelities, fighting, eventually peace, reconciliation, and death.

Like the review in the link above, this is a book you pick up, expecting nothing, and the next thing you know hours have passed and you couldn't care less. The beginning of the story, when they first met was my favorite part. Marion makes Tony look like the most beautiful creature in the world, and I couldn't agree more. There's actually this picture of them at the back of the book cover. I couldn't make out Tony's face because it's a side view picture, but if I may say, he probably looks like Bill and Tom Kaulitz, well more like Bill, but they're twins anyway.

It's a very blunt book, no reservations, but everything had worked for better understanding of the characters and I truly loved it. I remember what Tony said in his letter to his children, that he hoped when they grow up the world would finally have found a cure for AIDS. It's heartbreaking that there is still NO cure for AIDS. In God's time, maybe there will be, or sadly none at all. I'm having issues with this. Tony actually only started doing drugs again when he grasped the reality of his condition -- that one day, eventually, he will have to die. Well the fact is, when it's your time to die then you die. The problem with having a terminal illness is, you know it's near, not when exactly, but soon. And you can't stop thinking about it. Wouldn't it have been better if you just wake up one fine day, walk out of your house, get hit by a bullet and die? Then there'd be no anxious waiting.

I guess it's true, what they say, that you should live everyday as if it is your last. That's hard to do nowadays, but it does have a point. So we can be ready ANYTIME. No grudges, no heartaches, just peace.

They played it on HBO this evening, around 6, and I watched it again. I've seen this way before, when I was still a child, but didn't totally get the story. Alicia Silverstone somehow interested me and I think she's one of the prettiest girls in Hollywood at that time, until now.

While I was watching, I noticed that the story is very similar to Emma, Jane Austen's novel and one of my favorite books. When I googled it up, turned out it was loosely based on Emma actually so I listed it as one of  my favorite movies there and then.

Cloud 9

Originally posted on mark's blog. I really think he's an excellent writer, and a sentimental one too, very much like me. Though nowadays he's more into informative posts rather than personal ones, which is just okay I guess.

So he tagged this cloud 9, thus my post title. I actually posted this first on facebook, with credits of course.

Eye see you

It might be the caffeine talking but I'm enamored with the shape of my fate. Maybe it's the water waving at me but I'm inlove with these visions of late. A tiny man sits by himself on the edge of his seventh floor hotel, and after only one cup and two sugars, he sees the world as well. Could it be that what we see is a product of what we've seen til' now? And if it is, and every inch of sight matters, I'll thank my eyes somehow.

"Thank you, eyes"

From someone who was raised from a wolfpack. You gotta be singing now.

No, I'm not idle. I'm busy customizing my blog. Just funny that this takes up my entire day. I'm learning a lot from this though. Like my mp3 player for one, I decided to use mp3s instead of youtube videos because it's easier to load. No buffering, so the music is continuous. I didn't know where to get mp3 urls so I read the FAQs on mixpod (that's where I created my playlist), and it led me to fileden. Surprisingly I already have an existing account with fileden, I guess I just didn't know how to use it then.

It rained so hard many times today, I'm kinda worried about our flight on sunday evening. I hope the weather improves by then. Oh, it's also my church's anniversary on sunday morning. I'm so excited.

I customized my blog today: added a music player, removed some photos, err, removed some more photos. I never actually posted my own picture here. Lol. Let's leave that to facebook.

I discovered Bianca Gonzales's blog. Check it out on my links. Funny how long it has been. She actually started blogging in 2003, and every single post since then is still there. She didn't remove anything.

My sole purpose for blogging is just to remind myself of how I feel, when, where, and how. I post newfound videos, links, maybe in the future feature other blogs too. I don't wanna miss anything
